MOUNT PANTOKRATOR AND NORTH CORFU

Evening sunset

(16.00-23.00)

This is a fascinating route through mountain villages and the slopes of the Corfu Island won’t leave you indifferent. The way to Mount Pantokrator takes 40 minutes from the north-east of the island to the peak (906 m above the sea level sea), and we will go down from the northern part to the village Acharavi.

Pantokrator from Greek language means Lord Almighty. On top of the mountain there is a monastery with an elevated title decorated with silver.
The monastery overlooks southern Albania and Corfu Island – all the 3 wonderful coasts.

Passing through the northern slope of Mount Pantokrator, we descend to 200 m above sea level in a village where among oak trees and mountain streams you can see an unusual phenomenon for Corfu. This is called the Nymphes waterfall, which flows from a15-meters high cliff. According to the Greeks myths adult nymphs lived here. They sang and danced with the god Pan in the meadows and slopes of mountain Pantocrator. There is not much water here in summer.

The Canal of Lovers (Canal d’amour) in Sidari is a place extraordinary in its beauty and energy. It is believed that if you swim through the channel, you will meet the love of you life in the nearest future. Then we will visit Cape Drastis – an observation deck with view of the exceptional natural wonder of sandy cliffs of the Albanian coast.

The next stop will be the village of Peroulades, where there is a bar-restaurant called “7 Heaven” and has a perfect view on the three islands of Diyaponion: Erikus, Ofoni and Mafraki.

We will see the best sunset in Corfu!

This program includes swimming and dinner.
